KAZAKHSTAN MAY TERMINATE THE AGREEMENT WITH THE COMPANY RENTING THE VESSEL “ZHIBEK ZHOLY”

The Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan, Kairbek Uskenbayev, said on the sidelines of the government that an investigation is underway on this fact, a Zakon.kz correspondent reports.

“We leased the ship, so the one who received it is responsible for it. If the vessel is engaged in activities that do not comply with the legal norms adopted in Kazakhstan and international law, then, of course, this agreement will be terminated and the vessel will be recalled,” said Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairbek Uskenbayev.

According to the minister, Turkey is now conducting an inspection, a legal assessment will be given.

“The Turkish side, if it deals with this issue, will find out the origin of the cargo, who is the charterer, who sent this cargo, and it will be clear and clear what sanctions restrictions were there. A legal assessment will be given immediately, and then it will be clear whether there are legal consequences for the termination and return of the ship or not,” Kairbek Uskenbaev said.

On June 30, a number of media published information about the export of grain from Ukraine through the Berdyansk sea trade port on the Kazakh ship “Zhibek Zholy” to Turkey.

Later it became known that the grain sale deal was between the Estonian company Mangelbert OU and the Turkish side. The seller, which is a company registered in Europe, declares the legitimacy of the transaction.

NUR-SULTAN-UFA FLIGHT TO LAUNCH FROM JULY 8

The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Bashkortostan, has worked out the issue of opening regular passenger flights between the cities of Nur-Sultan and Ufa, Zakon.kz reports.

From July 8, the Russian airline Azimut will start operating regular passenger flights on the Nur-Sultan – Ufa route with a frequency of one flight a week on Fridays. Flights will be operated on RRJ-95 aircraft, the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan said in a statement.
